Biography
Fernando Ramos is a queer Latin American artist based in Miami, Florida.
His process is influenced by hermetic principles, a philosophical system emphasizing universal interconnectivity that transcends perceived boundaries. Guided by these ideas, Ramos transforms found materials and imagery to create unexpected connections that question conventional notions of reality. These gestures spark a dialogue between the familiar and the unknown, addressing the occult, psychodynamics, and the supernatural.
Ramos received an Associate of the Arts from Miami-Dade College. His work has appeared in “Pathways: Carlos Malamud Prize”, 2024, Rollins Art Museum & UCF Art Gallery, Orlando, FL. “In Color Mural Project”, 2024, Alliance of the Arts, Fort Myers, FL. “Imagination & Collage”, 2024, Artist Replete Gallery, Chicago, IL. “COLLAGE / ASSEMBLAGE: Beautiful And Strange Fragmentation”, 2024, ARC Gallery, Chicago, IL.
Currently, Ramos is expanding his collage practice into new media, deepening his exploration of materials and conceptual frameworks.
